Busy and beautiful day of soaring at Marion Airport today. Andrew Lester solo’d for the first time (see video below). Phaedra Ovdiyenko (14) piloted 3 takeoffs for the first time today with Mike Cerrato instructing, and also performed her first landing. In total there were 31 flights. Thermals were tight but plentiful with lift mid-afternoon to 7000 ft.
