A busy day at Marion Airport today. Winds were generally calm and there was lift was to be found in the afternoon. We were all eying up some beautiful Cu that looked to be 15-10? miles out to the east/south of us which never quite made it our way. Despite that, we had some great flights and took advantage of the blue thermals. Congrats to Alex for his first solo flight since coming back, congrats Alex!!
From Tony Absi: 24 flights today. S, 1-26, 1-34 and the L-33 flew. One guest ride - a woman who lives on Pole Lane Rd who had always wanted to fly. Max altitude was 4200? AGL, and longest flight was 1:08. Thanks to John, Milt, and Bob for towing. 5 dined at Perkins.
Many thanks to Nick and Alan for contributing pics and video.
