The day opened up with blue skies and some light thermals which built up over the course of the day. It was busy with a lot of student flights in the morning and club members coming out to enjoy the unusually strong thermals. Multiple flights reached 9000+ feet. We were down a tow plane, but several tow pilots did an amazing job of keeeping things humming throughout the day. Almost every club glider was flown, including the 103. Later in the day some cirrus clouds threatened to mute the thermals, but lift was found even as the sky started to be covered over. At the end of the day several intro flights were given, and those lucky teenagers were sure to have gotten flights to remember with beautiful soaring weather.
