Gliders and sailplanes filled the sky Saturday as both COSA and the Civil Air Patrol ran operations at Marion Municipal Airport. 25 flights in total,—both 33s, the 1-26, and the 1-34 all flew in addition to 3 CAP aircraft. The day started with clear skies and only slightly bumpy air as students flew with Mark Martin instructing, John towing. By early afternoon thermals started to be found and club members continued to run flights, Cheryl took over tows. High cirrus clouds started moving in mid afternoon. There were 2 guest rides and 9 members capped off an epic day with dinner at Mi Jalapeño.
