A busy day of soaring and glider flights at Marion. Student flights started mid-morning and continued into early afternoon as thermals started to generate lift for club members—maximum thermal height for the day was 4500’ MSL, with 2 flights lasting well over an hour. Other than the Grob, and the 1-34, all other gliders flew including the Cirrus. There were 24 total flights including 5 guest flights (with 2 guests from South America). Thanks to John and Mike for towing, and for all who came out for another memorable day.
