On this day…
On this day, six years ago, August 16, 2015 John Stefanick solo’d and recorded his thoughts:
I did not get a photo to celebrate the milestone but today I made three flights SOLO in a glider. After a dual instruction flight the instructor got out and while I was about to unbuckle my seat belt he said "What are you doing?" Of course I said "huh?". He said "your going up by yourself". I asked if he wanted a "before " photo of the glider as a keep sake.
Well, three solos later I am feeling mighty proud. I now can fly solo on most days should I choose. Still a lot to learn but WOW. Yipee!!!

Today, John flies club gliders regularly and selflessly tows for the club. Thank you for all you do John!!
